Jerry Werthman founded Cameo Video Productions of Washington in 2002 as a wedding and event-oriented company with an emphasis on artistry. He currently serves as executive producer, on-location team leader, and editor. He's committed to providing the highest levels of technical and artistic excellence for each of his clients.

Jerry was mentored in the concepts of photographic art by his parents from age five, when he was given his first camera. Both his father and mother earned Master of Photography degrees from the Professional Photographers of America, and his mother's work was selected for exhibition at the 1964 New York World's Fair.

By high school graduation, Jerry had twice received top state honors for his own artistic photography (Scholastic Gold Key Awards for Achievement in Art). He'd been extensively published as a news, sports, and event photographer at school and had worked in professional capacities for many years at his parents' photography studio.

Jerry earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Masters degrees from the University of South Dakota and Webster University. Since he completed his career in the U.S. Air Force, his lifelong passion for photographic art has found new and continuing expression through professional video production.

Jerry Werthman is a member of the Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA) International, the International Special Events Society (ISES), and the DC Wedding and Event Professionals for South Asians (WEPSA). Through WEVA, he makes the world's most creative video concepts and latest industry developments available to his clients. In 2006, he won the WEVA International Creative Excellence Competition Best of Category Gold Award for social event coverage. His wedding productions have also won regional acclaim as a result of independent bride surveys.
